Holy cow, my friend told me about these and said they were good but they were better than good, and i didn't even make the polenta sauce, just made more sauce and served with spaghetti, i will be making these again

I tried this recipe a few nights ago because everything I have tried from Tyler Florence has been wonderful. Unfortunately, these did not live up to my expectations. They took a loooong time to make and were not worth the effort. They were fairly bland which was surprising considering the fresh herbs I used. The creamy polenta was good but didn't compliment the meatballs. I'll stick to my grandmother's recipe.

I made the meatballs last night with the polenta..and they were awesome. What great flavor and so moist. The polenta was a good match. I'll be making these again for sure. Would be perfect for company..

I couldn't believe how much my family disliked this recipe given all the glowing reviews! I don't know what everyone is tasting that we didn't (?. The meatballs themselves were just mediocre (I agree with another review I read... I too have tried Rocco Dispirito's Mama's meatballs, and I feel they are far better than these, we did not care for the tomato/mushroom ragu at all, and the polenta was just as much of a let down. Although the polenta sounds wonderful with the cream and parmesan, they were every bit as "blah" as breakfast grits. Proceed with Caution. Why all the 5 Stars??

The basil set off this fresh dish. Served my family on Super Bowl Sunday and received rave reviews. Thanks for sharing.

This dish is EXCELLENT! Really nice flavors. Makes A LOT though. There is only two of us so I made half the amount of polenta and only cooked half of the meatballs (rest went into the freezer and it was perfect...still had leftovers. I highly recommend (and I am not a huge polenta fan either! - DELISH!

I cannot believe how good these meatballs are. I followed the recipe verbatim except I used breadcrumbs instead of a baguette, and The Gourmet Garden's tubes of herbs ( I never have any fresh. I baked mine for 1 hour because I am scared of pork and they were still extremely moist & delicious.

I must say that Tyler is very deserving of having a show named "Ultimate!"

This recipe is worth all of the preparation and time. I could not believe the excellent results, neither did the two others that enjoyed this fantastic recipe. It is truly amazing...

If you love Italian pasta dishes with meatballs, this is THE one to try!
