I changed the recipe a little, used Portabello instead of chantrel and serve it with white rice. Great dinner to make for guest, can prepare ahead of time. :

I made this recipe after watching it on tv. I made the meatballs while my child napped and then did the rest in about 20 minutes. While it finished baking, I washed the pans. That's a plus for family life. The polenta cooks so quickly. The reason I gave this recipe a 5 star rating is that it is one I now crave. That's how I know it was good! Very earthy in flavor and hearty!

this is the best ever meatball recipe I and my family have ever tried. I'm a gourmet and didn't think I could top my own recipe, but this does! We can't get chantrelles here, so I substitute criminis and portobellos with the gills removed. We also substitute orzo on occasion for the polenta. When I make it, I always double the recipe and freeze a second batch of meatballs after the pan-frying. Just thaw out and pick up the recipe from making the sauce and we are good to go! Kudos Tyler, Kudos!

This is some of the best tasting food I have ever prepared. It actually reminded me of my Italian Grandmother's cooking. This is a somewhat time consuming recipe, but not hard, and totally worth the effort.

This meatball dish is fantastic! It was easy to make and tasted great! Instead of the polenta, I had it with Rizotto and added other vegetables to the sauce.

First of all, I have to say that I rarely make any decent meals but I am very happy that I was able to make Tyler's ultimae meatballs! This recipe is very straight forward and the meatballs taste fantastic! I brought some for my co-workers the other day and they all want the recipe!

I think that this is the best meatball recipe that I have ever found. YUM! Everyone asks for the recipe.I have been asked to several potluck dinners lately and they all ask for "Tylers Ultimate Meatballs!"

I didn't make the polenta for this recipe so I can't review that but the meatballs were outstanding. I put a cube of mozzerella cheese inside the meatballs and it is heavenly. These are big meatballs though. My hubby had trouble eating two of them. You can probably get away with one meatball per guest but they make great leftovers as well! Great job Tyler!
