Phenomenal! It is important to let it rest 15-20 minutes after it comes out of the oven and the extra cream will absorb into the potatoes and it will stay together nicely - otherwise it will have a bit of a soupy consistency. Just let it rest - it is well worth the wait! Like many others that rated this recipe it is asked for by my friends and family repeatedly and they fight over the leftovers!

I have made this potato gratin twice now and everyone including children love it. It is one of our favorites and this year it was requested by several for Easter. It is easy to make, delicious and one which will keep making just because it is a crowd pleaser. Thank you Tyler

Absolutely the BEST! I found this recipe about two years ago and have made it several time since. Many people have asked for the recipe. My twelve year old grandson hopes for leftovers so he can put them in the fridge labeled for his use only! Making it again for Easter as requested.

About 4 years ago I was searching for a new way to serve cabbage and potatoes on St. Patrick's day when I found Tyler's recipe. We have had this dish on March 17th ever since and then some. It goes especially well with pork. This dish is creamy, smokey and sweet! And I cannot wait to eat it tonight!!!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I added Asiago cheese, becuase I just love cheese and all things cheesy. It was very, very tasty!!! Paired this with Emeril's rosemary parm crusted lamb chops for a super special dinner!

We used 2% milk instead of cream, and with all the cheese it was just as creamy I'm sure. I also think they made a mistake in the recipe. When I saw him make this on the show, he used more than one piece of bacon. We used 1/2 lb. Yum. Also could not find savoy cabbage so we used napa. It made for a very nice side for our dinner. Keep on cooking T-Man we love the way you cook.

I made these and they were GREAT! I omitted the cabbage only because I didn't have any on hand, The recipe still turned out. My husband and children loved them.....they were fitting over the left overs the next day....and they were just as good! I added this recipe to my cookbook.

This recipe is a family favorite. I make them at least every couple of months. Since they take alot of time to cook, I have created a week night version that uses mashed potatoes . Layer the potatos and cabbage mixture like a shephards pie and add a layer of any cheese you like on top. It is almost as good as the original version and takes alot less time to prepare. It's also healthier as you use less cream .
