I never thought of pairing cabbage with potatoes. They make a great team! I used turkey bacon. This dish rocks!

My family loved this recipe at Thanksgiving. They couldn't stop talking about it. The only thing I would change is to let the potatoes sit in boiling water for about 15 mins.

This dish is delicious! I served it this Thanksgiving and everyone wanted an extra serving, in a few minutes it was all gone. I liked the combination of the cabbage with the potatoes, it makes the dish healthier compared with plain mashed potatoes.

very fattening but highly scrumptious! easy to make and easy to follow. the cabbage and bacon compliments the dish perfectly well! there was a little too much cream because when it was done, it was quite wet. so a little less cream would be better. other than that, it was a great crowd pleaser

I made these for a Thanksgiving potluck. There was so much food left over but mine was the ONLY empty dish. Everyone raved!!

....even your grandchildren ask you to make it over and over again. I made this for the first time last Easter and everyone went crazy over it. Whenever I mention that I'm making it again, the kids want to know when because they want to come over. This is now a new "family" recipe that will be passed down. How often does that happen? Tyler, you are the best..and now an adopted family member!

It was a little tough trying to decipher the posted instructions on this website. For instance how much bacon do I use ?

I had to watch the segment on TV to figure that one out.

Also, how much wilt does the cabbage need ? Basically, if you don't wilt enough you end up with a watery dish and if you wilt too much you end up with incompletely cooked potatoes.

A cook time on the cabbage would solve this.
