This was my first time following one of Tyler's recipes. When I saw it on Tyler's Ultimate, it looked so easy and so delicious, I just knew it would turn out great!!! The sauce was palate perfection. My daughter and her friend went crazy over the whole meal. I made it with roasted garlic red potatoes and broccoli. Words don't do much justice but I know I'll make this roasted chicken time and time again.

    Tyler, you're the best!

WOW! I thought I knew how to roast a chicken. Tyler YOU ARE THE MAN! I have never been disappointed in any of your recipes and this is another winner.

I did have to adjust temp and cooking time- because I had a 7+ pound bird-(big familybut it tasted perfect. I LOVE the orange- light and doesn't overpower at all. And that easy pan gravy was so easy and flavorful.
    Try this you'll like it!

    Keep them coming Tyler!

This is the best roast chicken recipe I have ever run across. The chicken is moist and very tender. I will make this again, and again. I've shared it with friends and they have all loved it too.

I have made this recipe at least a half a dozen times & I just love how juicy & tender the chicken is. I was about to make the beer can chicken today but I just had to go back to this recipe instead. Luckily I bought an orange when I purchased the chicken so I have everything I need. I haven't made the gravy for the last couple of times but I think I'm going to dive in and make it this time. That way I'll have gravy for the leftovers. Now I'm just going to check Tyler's side dishes & see what kind of potatoes to make along side.

This recipe is amazing. I prepared this for my new in-laws for Christmas Dinner and I must say I NEVER make a new dish the first time for a special occasion; but, after readiing the comments and reviews for this dish, I threw caution to the culinary wind and I am DELIGHTED I did. The preparation of the bird is the most important part, and I basted every 15 minutes after removing the bacon. I actually cooked 2 birds, so, I had to increase the cooking time. Our kitchen smelled heavenly and lingered in the house all day. The end result was a beautifully browned bird with all of the inside goodies poking out (I used lemons and oranges and the table presentation delivered the Christmas WOW factor that all cooks are looking for. Very moist and flavorful and the gravy was perfect. Highly recommend this dish and I will cook this again and again!

Absolutely the best roast chicken I've ever tasted. I made the recipe as stated, and the sherry gravy really pushed this one over the edge. I will say I had to bake mine for closer to two hours. Came out extremely juicy and flavorful. I'm making it again this evening, though I am going to throw a little garlic and orange zest in the butter. Also I'm only using half the orange inside and throwing half a lemon in with it. Can't wait!
