I have been wanting to try this recipe and decided tonight was the night, i got all the fresh herbs and spices that i needed and began(i couldn't wait to see what the end result would be i didnt use the bacon but OMG this was awesome, could smell the chicken and all the spices while it was cooking. I cooked it on a lower setting(350 for 2 hours and when it was finished i was amazed at the taste(I was a little worried about the orange and the onion combination the chicken was so moist and very tasty(not dried out instead of making a gravy i used the juice of the chicken to pour over noodles(my mom does that with her chickens and the taste is always awesome I hightly recommend this to anyone who wants a great tasting chicken recipe. Told my friends about this recipe and they all want me to make it for them, hahah go figure. Thank you Tyler YOU ROCK!!!

I baked the chicken without the bacon and at a lower temperature and it was delicious. Thank you! Watch your show everyday and my husband says to keep watching!

This was a total WIN! I will make this again and again. I substituted proscuitto for bacon because it was what I had on hand. I also cooked the chicken an additional 40 minutes longer, but mine was a bit larger. I served this with green beans and hasselback potatoes. Very nice!

Good recipe. A little time consuming during prep. We cooked our 30 min. longer than the 50 min. recommended and using thermometer. We also had a 4.8 lb bird! Great gravy. Nice addition using sherry. Will make again.

It came out PERFECTLY! I used dried spices and herbs, as its what i had on hand. I will NEVER buy a precooked store bought chicken again!

Its well worth the time and effort. Its moist, savory and just bursting with flavor!

I am making this for my extended family at the reunion in June.

Great flavor! Works well for a 3 lb. broiler bird also.

The chicken was good. However, mine didn't didn't have the flavors of the ingredients. It was juicy, but didn't taste like orange, garlic, hebrs, etc... just plain ol chicken.

It really took much longer to cook than the recipe states. Other than that, pretty good overall.

This was delicious, but I did not thicken the sauce with flour (carbs instead I just reduced the sauce and enriched with a bit of butter. The cooking time of 50 min. is not long enough.
