After viewing the ingredients, and against my better judgement, I tried this recipe. What a huge mistake! This tasted like ground meat with ketchup, that's it. I have been looking for a rich flavorful recipe like Mom used to make, but this isn't it. I tried adding ground beef, and cumin, and extra cayenne, all to no avail. This recipe is an utter failure, with no hope of redemption. Don't try this one.
Can you say ketchup, ketchup, ketchup. . . . . .
Tyler, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING???

I am extemely unhappy with the Food Netork's revamping of of its web pages,
They are too busy and annoying, especially the sound portions. I find the format very poor!!!! It is very poorly designed. Finding previouly aired recipes are almost imposible to find. So for those reasons, I wll no longer be viewing the food network shows.

My husband and I agree--a little less ketchup. And we also added worchestershire and frank's hot sauce. Not too shabby!

Ithought these slopp joes were good not great. I added more brown sugar for the little ones in my family and to take away a little of the ketsup taste. I would recommend adding more cayenne if your family likes things alittle spicy

Sorry Tyler and we've enjoyed many of your recipes but this is not the Ultimate Sloppy Joe. Way too "Ketchup ee!" Very disappointing and very sweet! Try Michael Chiarello's "Sloppy Giuseppes"! Perhaps the Ultimate? Hmn, hmn! But we had to try this new recipe that we found of Tyler's.

These were great. This will be my go-to Sloppy joe recipe. The most awesome part is that these I ingredients I always have in the fridge. Super easy and tasty. I want to try it with the coleslaw now. Thanks Tyler!

We saw the show yesterday and had to make this. I did use groud beef instead, but it was outstanding. My husband said it was the best sloppy joe's he has ever had. I did add a bit more cayanne for spice. Tyler, will you be my new BFF?

I use a lot of ground turkey instead of beef so I was immediately attracted to this recipe. I appreciate Tyler's sharing his family recipes with us and look forward to making this luscious looking recipe for my family soon.
