I've read lots of member reviews on this particular recipe. As per most of the suggestions, I doubled all the ingredients, except for the Lady Fingers. I did end up having some (fabulous custard and espresso left over, but I enjoyed knowing that I had enough to apply with wreckless abandon!

As I am not a coffee or espresso drinker, I don't know how to brew espresso. I used instant espresso, which more than sufficed.

This recipe was not just good...it was insanely good. It is my husband's favorite dessert, and I sprung it on him as a surprise. I tell you, when he tasted it, he was speechless - and I don't mean in a bad way. We had ten guests around the table at that time, and my husband jokingly (or not put the entire tray of Tiramisu on his plate! A happier man you've never seen...!

Honest engine, it is sooooo worth the time and effort - you really must try it!!!!!

    Thanks

Great recipes, easy to make, never failed! I cheated by sub. using Coolwhip instead of heavy cream. It works out great.

While I was making the tiramisu I was very nervous about the mascarpone cream because it had a strong smell of marsala but I continued to make it anyway. I let it chill overnight and the next morning the marsala got soaked right into the tiramisu because the strong smell was gone and all I could smell was a magnificent tiramisu. My husband and I really love tiramisu and I can't believe that the one we love the most, thus far, is the one I made from this recipe.

Tip: Don't feel like you need to dip the entire lady finger in the coffee mixture. I dipped the lady finger sideways and only got the top or bottom wet and it was enough. Dipping the entire lady finger in the mixture will produce a strong coffee flavor, which is great if that's what you're looking for.

You have to try this recipe!!

EVERYONE that tried this said it was the best they ever had. I've been instructed to make this for three upcoming events. I omitted the rum and made sure the wine was cooked off in both the cream mixture and the espresso mixture for the youngsters. For the adult version, I'd probably use brandy instead of rum.

I love tiramisu and this is the first time I ever made it. I read the reviews and actually doubled everything, except the ladyfingers. The espresso mixure definitely should be doubled-- the cookies soaked it up very quickly and I almost ran out. I like a bit more custard and after doubling it I had some left over and made a mini dessert. My egg mixture thickened nicely, but took a while. (I read somewhere it should reach a temperature of 160F. I also whipped the cream too long- stiff peaks- by accident, but it still folded in well. Was not soupy as some reviews warned and it thickened in refrigerator in a couple of hours. Very delicious. Takes a while to make this but it is well worth it. Will make again and again.

This is my first attempt at making tiramisu. I am an expert cook, but don't bake too much. It was a major hit with the whole family in my house, and with my in-laws. I would have to say that the directions did not make clear if the Lady Fingers were in a single layer or two broken apart. Meaning, a top with a bottom is one. I found out with the amount given, it could only mean two halves put together as I had a lot left over thinking my way. It is contemptously delcious, and that's all you need to know.........Janice

I made this for my sons college graduation party, as he had requested an Italian theme. I was nervous since I had no time to make it and try it before the party. It was easy to make, and has very pretty presentation. The only changes I made were using Kahlua instead of rum, and doubling the filling, but not the lady fingers. Everyone raved about it. I will definitely make this one again.

i havent tried this recipe but i had to rate it in order to post this, im a fan of tyler's recipes so i gave it good :. i was actually wondering if there is something one can use in place of the marsala and rum for a non- alcoholic version. i know marsala is the main ingredient in tiramisu and i know omitting it would make it taste very different but is there a substitute for it? n eone? thanx
