I changed a few things based on the comments from reviewers. The recipe should read 4 cups - not pounds - of turkey. I also used 6 tbs butter and 6 tbs flour instead of the 4 called for in the recipe. I used enough turkey broth to make the gravy a good consistency. The kids fought over the finished product.

I made a few modifications to the recipe as others had indicated. I substituted the milk with heavy cream and a little bit of white wine. I also used less turkey than the recipe called for (4 cups and used a yellow onion instead of shallots. My husband LOVED this recipe and wants me to make it every week!

This wasn't as simple a recipe as I usually prefer. But for good reason! It requires a little more prep time but it turned out tasting wonderfully! I substituted chicken for turkey and it was good. You can really taste the thyme and the lemon zest. Great recipe!

My family and I really enjoyed this. As the recipe is written, as others have stated, the quantity of meat and noodles seems to be off. 4 cups, rather than pounds, of poultry is more reasonable. I used only half a pound of egg noodles, and it could have used half again as much sauce. I grew up on the Stouffer's version. Tyler's is much more flavorful with a homemade taste but still provides that comfort factor. I added some parmesan cheese to the sauce. The lemon and thyme with the mushrooms was delicious, and I had to hide them from my husband after I noticed the amount decreasing. Thanks Tyler. Love you!!!

Wow! With 4 pounds of turkey and a pound of noodles, you have enough food to feed about 25 people. God Bless the person that welcomes 25 people into their home for left over turkey. I know I wouldn't want to do that the day after thanksgiving. I did some adjustments to the recipe and we enjoyed our left overs without inviting company.
