We loved the topping but there was just a little too much banana flavor for us. We would probably make it again with fewer bananas.

I have made a few recipes by Tyler -- his Dad's meatloaf and Ultimate Beef Stew -- and both were excellent. However, the Whipped Sweet Potatoes and Bananas was not a hit. The bananas overtook the flavor of the squash and I only used half of what he said. My Thanksgiving guests agreed. Sorry!

Oh my goodness I told my best friend about this recipe for Thanksgiving this year! There wasn't an once of mashed sweet potatoes with bananas and honey left. I have made this for get togethers in my family, since food is a huge affair for us, and they all loved it!
Great for Thanksgiving and Christmas, Easter, and Birthday dinners!

I tried this for Thanksgiving. It was interesting, sort of Carribean vibe, but not the delicious dish I was hoping for. Just tasted like sweet potatoes with a hint of banana lacing it. It was very heavy in texture, perhaps if it were lightened up a bit. It needs something...

I make a sweet potato casserole that has a similar topping, but is made with a few eggs (or just whites, and applesauce. The crowd agreed to stick with the original.

This was a hit and a great change from the boring marshmallow recipe. The sweet potatoes did take much longer to roast, but it was still a very simple recipe. Will definitely make again.

This recipe was absolutely wonderful. My sister-in-law's sister made this for Thanksgiving.

This was a hit at our Thanksgiving party. I had to cook the sweet potatoes about 40 minutes longer than listed in recipe, perhaps my potatoes were much larger than Tyler's!

I loved the recipe and it was a nice change from the marshmellow sweet potatoes. Very easy recipe to make.

Did not taste much different than eating a plain baked sweet potato, which is nice, but is not the kind of sweet potato dish my family asks for at the holidays. The honey and banana did not add much sweetness, but the texture of the banana was nice in the smooth sweet potato mixture.

We frequently watch Tyler's Ultimate, so we paid close attention to the Thanksgiving special. This was the easiest side dish, and the tastiest I've ever served for our special holiday. Because of an allergy to nuts, the pecans were omitted. I passed the recipe along to our guests and to my co-workers. I certainly will make it again before the next Thanksgiving!
