I love sweet potatoes! But these take the cake. I can not believe how good these actually came it. I saw the show and knew right away that I had to make these. I tried them out before Thanksgiving to make sure everyone would like them. They were a hit. I think this is going to be an everyday recipe in my house. TRY THEM, YOU'LL LOVE EM TOO!!!!!!!!!!

I would recommend this recipe only if you love the taste of banana. Otherwise, I would suggest cutting the amount of bananas used in half and adding a liquid like heavy cream to moisten the dish.

These were great! To the cook who said the 30-35 minutes cooking time for the potatoes was inaccurate - check the recipe again....total cooking time for the potatoes at 375 degrees is about 45 minutes. You add the bananas after the potatoes have been in the oven for about 30 minutes and continue cooking potatoes and all for an additional 15 minutes.

I was hesitant to try this but I'm glad I did. It's great to have another recipe for sweet potatoes. I did add some coconut to the mixture which went really well with it.

First of all, the 30-35 min cooking tome for the potatoes was way off. Perhaps Tyler used a convection oven, but for my regular oven (which is only two years old it took about 1 hour to cook the potatoes.
Second, I made this dish in hope of having a new sweet potato dish to bring to the family get-together. However, while the flavor of this dish wasn't bad, it isn't as great as I had hoped. I'll be sticking to the candied yams this year.
