why don't you give us the recipe that was actually on the Thanksgiving desserts episode instead of this that was linked to the program in it's place. I have searched this site and the recipe on the program is not listed. This recipe is very different. I had taped the show and printed out this recipe and they in no way compare. I would print it here but alot of the measurements were either not given or muddled through. I am not going to waste precious time/ingredients trying to reconstruct it. I am moving on but c'mon Tyler. Get your people to get it together.

Where is the picture of the way the cake is supposed to look like? instead of trying to sell me sea shell by sea shore, show me which pieces will help in creating such cake. A car??? a dutch oven????? Curry sate???????
keep it within the subject and perhaps it will entice me to purchase and item instead of turning me off!

I watched the episode and the recipe looked really good for the cake and the buttercream frosting so I looked online for and the ingredients does not match as to what was stated on the show. This is not the first time food network has done this and I am very disappointed and wonder who I can emial to complain.

What is the point of having a cooking show, where you demonstrate how to make a coconut cake for the Thanksgiving holiday but don't provide the recipe. I didn't watch the show thinking I needed to write down the entire recipe. This is just absurd. If FN Stars are going to participate in shows, particularly specials then they should be willing to share their recipes.

The recipe on the show looked and sounded wonderful and I can't wait to try it, but the recipe you have listed is not the same one - please provide me and the other people who are very interested in this recipe the actual recipe that was on the show. Thanks. Loren

This recipe was orinally aired on a Food 911 episode. Sad to say, it is no longer available to view. Thank You to MaryLouise for copying the recipe during Ina's Dessert Show and sharing! It looked terrific, especially when brushed with the Rum Syrup! I agree with the poster who suggested 2# (8 cups of powdered sugar for the frosting. I make this frosting all the time (halved for a 9x13-inch pan.... also add 3-6 Tablespoons heavy cream for spreading consistency. Good luck to all - it really looks like a winner!

Another scrambled recipe and a waste of my time and money. The disclaimer for FN is "entertainment only". The solution is to buy cookbooks. I can't afford to buy a book for each scrambled recipe.
