These were awesome! I did make a few adjustments- i used a 9x13 glass baking dish; i used 12oz of chocolate chips instead of 8oz; i used salted butter ( all i had on hand and omitted the salt in the dry ingredients; instead of amaretto, i used 2 tbs of vanilla; i added an individual packet of instant coffee; omitted the walnuts and instead swirled in a little peanut butter. baked for 45 minutes but they probably could have come out sooner. MAKE SURE you let them sit for a while before cutting-they are deff worth the wait and dont cut well when they are hott! Also, I was kind of worried when they came out of the oven bc they didnt look pretty at all, but again once you wait a few hours and then cut them, they are great! much butter than any box mix!

These are THE tastiest brownies. I make them every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas and they don't last. So I've learned to make atleast 2 batches.

yummy!! My family's favorite. Best brownies I've ever made. If you use good quality chocolate, they are a nice intense hit of chocolate.

These brownies are AMAZING!!! After reading reviews, I did make a few changes. I used a 9x13 glass pan (lightly buttered bottom and sides and added 3 tablespoons of Amaretto instead of 2 teaspoons. Brownies came out perfect....crunchy on outside and thick and moist on the inside!!! Next time I will try with Kahlua.

I will definitely use a 13x9 pan if I make these again. I didn't have a 9x9 so I used a 9" round and I continued to bake for 55 min., they never set in the middle. In fact after waiting for them to cool they still were raw in the middle.
I added 1 tbs of granulated instant espresso since I am a big fan of Ina Garten. Next time I will try her brownie recipe.
I wish Food Network would fix this recipe!!!!

Good brownies. The Amaretto flavor comes out better the day after baking. When cutting brownies, use a plastic knife for neater squares.
