Finally, I found the perfect brownie recipe. I used Hershey's special dark chocolate chips (Hershey's is one of the few brands that do not have a nut warning. Since the package has 12 oz. I sprinkled the remaining 4 oz. of chips on top of the brownies before baking. I also used 2 tsp. vanilla instead of Amaretto. I used a glass 7x12 pan and the buttered parchment paper worked great. Thick, chewy brownies with a crispy top. Fantastic!

These were terrible. I followed the recipe exactly, but since I don't have a 9 X 9 pan I had to use 9 X 13. After they had been in the oven for OVER AN HOUR, I read some of the other reviews and saw the problems. Mine are very lightskinned, the top is hard as a rock and the middle is still not done. The consistancy is nothing like a brownie. I am irritated that I wasted good chocolate and Amaretto on this terrible recipe.

I even substitute half wheat flour and used egg whites only; however I used a good quality chocolate.

Our family LOVES chocolate. And, when my husband loves something, it has definitely made an impression. These were very easy and are definitely keepers! If you are concerned about the Amaretto flavor, don't be. All of the ingredients just work together to make the ultimate brownie!

INCONSISTANT REVIEWS??? I think the reason for inconsistant results is because two things were different on the show (1 TYLER USED A GLASS DISH TO MAKE THE BROWNIES (2 TYLER USED 2X MORE AMARETTO THEN CALLED FOR HERE. ALSO, TYLER DIDN'T MEASURE ANYTHING WHEN HE MADE THESE. The batter was thin like cake batter--not as think as brownies usually are. I think the glass dish is key--things cook faster in a glass dish.

I used a 9x13 pan and they came out perfect. Also tried it with Kahlua and it was divine.

Made these for my husband and friends and they were a hit!! Was very glad that I looked over the reviews. Went to a 9 x 13 pan, baked for 60 minutes and went with 3 teaspoons instead of 2 on the amaretto. Would make this recipe again in a heartbeat. Took awhile to find bittersweet chocolate chips, but glad I didn't substitute them.

I am a big fan of Tyler's show and recipes, but every once in awhile what you see on TV and what is posted on FoodNetwork are not the same thing. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of switching pecons for walnuts and adding 15 minutes more cook time. The crust was great, but the inside was so gooy that it was practically a molten cake. The flavor was great, and the gooiness didn't slow down the granddaughters on bit.

Again, another winner from Tyler Florence! I finally found an easy brownie recipe that I love. Amaretto and walnuts (two of my favorite flavors in the world...how can you go wrong?
