This recipe did not work for me. I didn't add nuts because my husband does not like walnuts, but it just did not turn out. We made this twice thinking we did something wrong. I'm thinking maybe in the episode he used different amount of ingredients that is on here. It has happend a couple times already that I've noticed about his recipes. I've heard others say the same. It's too bad because it looks really good on tv.

If you need a chocolate fix... this is it, rich and wonderful brownies, make sure to follow the directions, especially on "testing" I found they needed 5 more minutes. Also the serving size they recommend is huge, I found a 1.5 x 1.5 square to be plenty.

What's extra nice is the amaretto, everyone wonders what the extra ingrediant is.

Tip: Don't usually keep amaretto in the house, buy a nip, far less expensive and one nip equals two batches.

This was an easy recipe to follow and the brownies came out great. They did take between 7-10 minutes longer to cook than mentioned in the recipe. The outside cooked well and the middle was chewy. Great taste. The amaretto was not strong but gave the brownies a different flavor which was an added bonus. Everyone loved these brownies. I will definitely make these again.

I like my brownies a little gooey so these were perfect. I used a 12 x 8 pan and had to stick them back in the oven a good while until they were done. The Amaretto flavor did not come through so I'm leaving it out next time. Loved the parchment paper idea. It worked like a charm.

This is an excellent chocolate lovers desert! Very easy to prepare however has all the personality of a fussy desert. I am already thinking of different twists i would like to try with this recipe. This will definitely be one of those "go to" recipes in my house. Awesome!

This recipe was almost identical to my mother's recipe for brownies except for the amount of flour used and the size of the pan. I cut the flour to 1 cup and bake in a slightly larger pan. A 9x13 would work but the size between a 9x9 and 9x13 is perfect. These brownies are always a winner and get rave reviews. We call them Annie's FudgeCake Squares.

I have not made these at home yet, but I just watched the "rainy day" episode yesterday, 2/7, and the directions on here are not the way Tyler did it on TV. I don't know if it matters or not. Of course, did doesn't really measure exactly the ingredients on TV either. He also used way more then 2 tbsp. amaretto. Maybe it does or doesn't matter, but it should be explained as they are many responses telling food network that it didn't work the way the recipe is written, for most people. I was looking forward to making these but now I am not sure it will be worth it. Perhaps Tyler could take few minutes on the show and reply to our emails since you say our opinions matter. Thank you.

I read all the comments before I made these so I was ready..for a flop. No humidity in the air, followed to a tee AND at the ONE HOUR and 10 minute mark, I had a beautiful crust and a gooey inside. I have no idea as to why this works for some and not for others...very dissappointed as I stayed up way past my bedtime to make and have for surprise tomorrow....

ever since I made this recipe that is all I hear about are those brownies. The only variation is that I use a 9x13 pan and they are perfect. I did try it with Kahlua, but it wasn't quite as good. I love the parchment idea. I believe it keeps the edges from getting too hard as well as easy cleanup

I loved the recipe, however I could not taste the amaretto. My husband thought they were too sweet. However I loved them. I will make them again and again. However I will increase the amaretto.
