This cake was a little bit of work, however, it was well worth it. Very much company worthy, thanks for the recipe!

But worth it! Beware, this cake has many steps. But the rave reviews I received made it all worth while. Also, it is very, very rich - small servings only.

This cake is wonderful. A FoodTV buddy recommended this cake to me and I thank her for doing so. And thank you Tyler!
To: outstanding: Looking for large aluminum foil.I found my Reynolds Heavy Duty foil at Sam's (which is a midwestern large warehouse like Costco. It's 18" wide, but I've found it in my regular grocery store as well. Good Luck.

this cake is amazing. the flavor and the texture are incredible and luxurious. this is a sophisticated cake with an intense flavor, but it's not "too much." it's just right. you will not be sorry if you try it. (I make it without the glaze and use whipped cream to "lighten" it, or else i just eat it plain.

and considering it's not got that many eggs, that much flour or that much butter...well, you could do worse things to your arteries in the name of decadence.

one problem though--where on earth do you find foil that is big enough to wrap the entire springform pan? water has leaked into the pan each time i've baked it.

When I saw Tyler's face, as he took a bite of this, I knew I had to try it. I've made it several times and I learn a little something each time to improve my technique. This is definately one for the "permanent collection".

Simlpy delicious. A chocolate-lover's DREAM! The yield, we found to be completely incorrect. Our cake served 10 with leftovers! It's too rich to serve more than a small slice (1/2 of a normal slice. I'd say it serves more like 10-16. Choose the very best chocolate you can find, as it is the star of the show. We used Ghiradelli. Try topping w/ unsweetened whipped cream.

It was very rich. I loved it. It was so moist and heavy. The cake is excellent!
