I wasn't able to find the apple sausage so replaced it with Maple sausage links. This soup has a great flavor and wasn't too difficult to make

When I first saw this recipe, I thought, nice twist on italian wedding soup. But, I was very disappointed in the meatballs, the flavor was great, but they totally fell apart while browning and in the soup. The soup was very basic. I think adding some breadcrumbs to the meatball mixture helps to hold the meatballs together and draining them helps with the oilyness. I don't think I will make this soup again.

I have made alot of chicken soup but never thought to make these changes to it.
Nice and clean broth with hearty noodles and sweet chicken meatballs....wonderfull.
I also agree, my meatballs were not staying together in the frying pan....so I browned then and then put them in the over for 20 min....they were great!!

Wonderful flavors. I do agree with a previous review in regards to baking the meatballs instead of frying them. I drained mine on paper towels, also, but next time I'll bake them.

This is a wonderful soup. The family asked that I make sure this is a regular. The flavors blend together so nice. Meatballs are very good.

I would bake these meatballs instead of frying them. Even though I drained them on paper towels I found the grease to carry into the soup which kind of overpowered the flavor of the soup.
