I am also watching the episode, and though I enjoy Tylers recipies very much, the boom is definitly annoying. But I can't wait to try those brownies :-

I'm watching this episode now and I just muted the sound. Tyler just said "BOOM" 5 times in approximately one minute. I really like some of his recipes and I look forward to trying this one but I just find the continuous "Booms" incredibly annoying.
As far as the recipes go....in general, there are many mistakes in the printed recipes and that can make for disappointing results. If something doesn't seem right, it probably isn't. Don't be afraid to change the recipe to suit your own taste.
I would direct this message to Food Network but there doesn't seem to be any way to comment. Anyone know of a way or do they just not care?

I get so hungry watching his shows more so than other shows. Everything looks so appetizing.
The meatballs take forever to make, especially rolling them into little balls. But thinking about it, I might of doubled the recipe. You might as well, if you're going to make homemade soup.
I didn't find sausage with apples so I added chopped apples. Maybe thats what made the meatballs taste so awesome.
    This soup is a winner.

Hi, first of all I would like to thank you for this recipe. I have never been a fan of chicken noodle soup. I cought the end of this eposide and the soup cought my eye, incidently the day that it was aired in my area was a rainy day. I decided right then and there that I wanted that soup for dinner. I down loaded the recipe and went to buy the ingredients and found that my grocery store did'nt have apple chicken sausage. Determined to make this soup and with all the other ingredients in my basket already i oppted to substitute the sausage with ground chicken. I followed the recipe and wow! It was delicious! I was surprised at how quick it all came together, and how filling it was. I also made the Mozzarella Grilled Cheese to go along with it and my was that great or what?! I froze the left over soup and warmed it up today, another cold and damp day, and it was just as good if not better! I added crushed red pepper flakes to my serving, something I like to do to all my pasta dishes and it was even that more amazing. Thanks again for this recipe and for definetly converting me into a chicken noodle fan, at least for your version. The only one I will be using from now on. Love your show, Be encouraged, Keep up the good work and May God bless you and your family.

I thought this soup was just okay. Of my 4 kids, only 1 liked it. None of us liked the tortellini. We all felt rice or some small pasta would have been better. I couldn't find uncooked sausage so I used ground turkey meat. Based on other reviews, I added bread crumbs to the meat and had no problem with the balls retaining their shape. Also, I don't like cheese so I just eliminated that from the meat. I make a Mexican Meatball Soup that is fabulous and for that, I just drop the meatballs into the soup. I sauteed some meatballs in the skillet and dropped others into the soup to see if there was any difference and there was none. If I make it again, I would not even bother sauteeing the meatballs. Just drop them into the soup and let them simmer. I will not be in a rush to make this again.

I made a triple batch of this soup for some friends, and it was great. I used a combination of chicken and turkey sausages that were available, as the only chicken apple sausage I could find was pre-cooked. I served it with some crunchy toasted bread. I put some in the freezer to save for later for a cold day.

I made this soup for my family and they all loved it......including my picky 6yr old. I made it exactly as the recipe called and I have to agree with some of the other commenters that the meatballs needed something to hold them together better. But, I really didn't mind the smaller chunks of meat.....still had the same great taste. I have to say I will continue to make this soup for years to come. By the way I also was unable to find chicken sausage so, I substituted it with turkey sausage. GRRRRRREAT!

I made this soup without the mini-meatballs and just cooked some hunks of chicken to put in the soup. I also only had 2 quarts of chicken stock, so I addeda third of beef stock. It gave it great depth of flavor that way. The fresh herbs in it were so tasty. Would definately make this again!

I couldn't find the chicken apple sausage, so I make my own with ground chicken. It was amazing! Even my husband, who scoffed at first, thought it was mag!!!
