Tyler Florence makes soup easy, tasty , and hearty! It's been soup weather, and this recipe inspired me to make it! Thank you, Tyler!

Very good not too difficult soup. I used the carcus of a rotisserie in with the stock and simmered it for 2 hours then strained it out. The only chicken sausage i could find was precooked so I used ground chicken and definitely put bread crumbs in. Held together perfect.

REALLY WANTED THIS SOUP TO BE GOOD. I MADE THE MEATBALLS WITH THE BREAD CRUMBS, THEY FORMED, I FRIED THEM, AND PUT THEM IN THE SOUP AND THEY DISAPPEARED! I JUST HAD WHAT USED TO BE MEATBALL MEAT FLOATING AROUND. DIDNT I FRY THEM ENOUGH OR DID I OVER MIX THEM IN THE PROCESSOR. I ALSO FOUND GETTING THE MEAT OUT OF THE CASING A PAIN. WAS THAT REALLY NECESSARY. I THINK HE DID IT ON TV BUT DOESNT MENTION IT IN THE RECIPE. BTW HOW MUCH DOES THE PROOF READER OF THESE RECIPES GET PAID? SO MANY MISTAKES! SHEESH!!!

We loved this soup! It didn't take to much time to make. If you want to cook then COOK! I have gone through the time of making homemade stock many times and it's a refreshing time saver to use store bought stock that you fancy up with herbs with fabulous results! If you want traditional chicken soup...then do a traditional recipe!!! Who cares about the extra garlic? Use it or don't use it... you can't go wrong! It's only garlic! Don't worry about the meat balls! Play with it until you get it to hold gently. I have found that torn fresh bread and milk with a bit of dry crumbs works the best. My meatballs were very moist... I thought they would fall apart but they didn't. I baked them in the oven turned out perfect and less mess. Cooking should be fun...have a glass of wine, chill and enjoy the process and results!

This was the first time I made a soup.... It was very easy. There are so many different things you can do with it if you don't like something thats in it. I made it as is and it turned out great.. Excellent

I've made this a few times and wanted to pass along a bit of advice. If you're not planning on eating all the soup in one sitting, I would not add all the tortellini at once like he says. If you have leftovers, the pasta will totally fall apart sitting in all that liquid for a few days in the fridge. What I do is boil just enough for whatever we're eating that night and add it to the individual bowls with the soup. Then do the same each time you have leftovers. A tad bit extra work, but worth it for this great tasting soup!

Used store bought chix stock and definately add in the salt and pepper! I sliced mushrooms which added depth and a earthy taste!

    - preheat oven to 400 and place sheet tray in the oven to warm up!

    - Add 1/2 cup of fresh bread crumbs (white bread pulsed in food processor to meatballs!

    - after forming meatballs, remove hot sheet tray from oven and lightly drizzle with extra virgin olive oil; THEN place meatballs on tray; sprinkle with grated parm and bake 15-20 min.

    BETTER MEATBALLS AND LESS MESSY!
