We had planned a family picnic for the following day. The weather had been hot, so I didn't want to turn on the oven. The night before I put everything in a crock pot and turned it on right before I went to bed. I put it on low for 8 hrs. You can try less. In the morning the meat shredded very easily and tasted wonderful. I was able to pack everything up in a breaze without a hot kicthen. My family loved it. It was filling enough to last them the afternoon at the beach. The crock pot did wonders. Try it.

This is a review of the meat, not the slaw, which I didn't make. This stuff will never shred, no matter how long you cook it. It's dry, tough and the flavor isn't particularly good. The two of us each half a sandwich and threw the rest away. Maybe I missed something by not seeing the show, but this recipe did NOT work for me. Awful. Thank goodness the roast was on sale.

It was simply the best pulled pork my guests and I have ever had. I followed the marinate recipe exactly however, I placed it in the oven for about two and a half hours. Then I placed it in the smoker for about an hour and a half, then sealed it in aluminum foil and roasted it for about another hour and a half at 325. It was tender and deeelishhh!!!!!! Thanx, Tyler for sharing this one.

Where is the recipe for the BBQ sauce that Tyler rolled the shredded pork in. He did that on the show but that is not in the recipe. Pity.

I had a 4.5lb roast and left it in the oven for 6 hours. 3.5 hours was not long enough to make it fall apart. The crust was delicious. Just remember to line your pan with foil! The flavors in the crust were absolutely fabulous!

We recently made Tyler's recipe for Pulled Pork. Since we wanted to serve it for a indoor picnic of 12, we practiced it a week before the dinner. The result each time was amazing. The marinade is easy and outstanding! Thanks, Tyler!

WHEN I COOKED THE MEAT, I LINED MY PAN WITH ALUMINUM FOIL AND NOTHING STUCK TO THE PAN. THE MARINADE GAVE THE PORK A SENSATIONAL FLAVOR. I ALSO HAD TO COOK THE PORK MORE THEN 3 1/2HRS. THERE WASN'T A SCRAP OF MEAT LEFT. THANKS TYLER, YOU'RE THE BEST.

I made this and everyone loved it! The only problem I had was that the extra marinade that sat on the bottom of the pan began to burn, so I had to removed the pork and put it into a different dish because the house was started to smell from the burned sugar. I did have to add my own BBQ sauce cause there wasn't any ate all, but I just mixed it into the meat. I'll probably try another recipe next time.

I saw this episode on Monday and my mouth was watering, so the next day I went out and got all the fixings for everything Tyler made on the episode. The pork was really really good, the only problem that I had was that it was not done in 3 1/2 hours. I used 2 2 1/2 lb pork shoulders. I ended up cooking the two smaller pieces for 4 1/2 hours before they fell apart, but it was worth the wait. I also did not marinate it for 3 hours, I was pressed for time and put the rub on and stuck it in the oven. This was some of the best pulled pork that I have ever had. The kettle chips were also really good .

I tried this recipe yest. after seeing his show. I did substitute a boston butt for the pork shoulder and needed to add an hour to the cook time, and it turned out perfect. Shredded great and the crust was delicious. If you're not accustomed to the vinegary NC style sauce, sample a bit before you pour it over the whole sandwich. Delicious...thanks Tyler
