This turned out fantastic! I made it exactly like Tyler and used a Le Creuset pan and everything was perfect! One note: Definitely put a sheet pan on the bottom rack, mine bubbled over and now I need to clean the oven!!!

I've made this for many brunch parties that I've hosted. It is everyones favorite! I serve it with warm maple syrup as an option, but it is not necessary as the caramel sauce is so yummy!

I thought it was delicious!! I made this with Soy Milk.
My Carmel sauce did not come out as well as Tylers... maybe the heat was too high??
But I will definitely try again until I have it perfect worth it for any special occasion.

This was one of the best (albeit not the healthiest breakfast dishes I have ever had! I had to make-shift on the recipe, did not use cranberries, and used 1% instead of whole for the bread batter, but turned out wonderful. I flopped this recipe the first time, the apple cheeks didn't turn out well, and I messed up the carmel sauce. Second time around, I used thinner slices of apples, was more careful on the sauce, added a pinch of nutmeg to the batter, and we were just blown away. Definitely going to add this to our special occasion recipes!

Didn't care for it with the cranberries. Will omit the cranberries next time. Everything else was good. I couldn't get my apples to cut in the triangle like Tyler did on the show, but quartering worked well.

Loved it, but my skillet did turn the apples a bit grey. I will try another pan until my skillet is better seasoned.

I loved it! Super simple to make and yet a real crowd pleaser. Next time, I think I will try slicing apples rather than using the "cheeks" and I may consider a little clove in the bread mixture.

Oh my gosh! What an AWESOME brunch item!! This recipe WAY exceeded my expectations! I will definitely use this one every Christmas brunch!

    For the poster below:

I requested my grocery store (who offers a large variety of breads to bake the bread for me. They do not bake challah bread on a daily basis but will do so upon special request.

The apple halves worked great, although I thought they seemed too big initially. I went with the flow, and it came out perfectly!

    Simply wonderful!

I'll really appreciate if someone tells me where I can find challah bread and also by cutting apples into halves, it means cutting the whole apple into 2 halves? isn't it a little bit big?
    thanks
