My 12 year old son and I made this cake together for my birthday last night. We baked the cake exactly as the directions stated...25 minutes was perfect. It was moist and delicious. The only problem I came across was when making the peanut butter glaze. I do not recommend adding all the water at once, it made it very watery and I had to add more sugar and peanut butter to get it right. This is a new favorite in my home.

My kids and I watched this on the Ultimate Recipe Showdown and thought it looked so good and it was! The recipe was very easy...no mixer required. I cooked the cakes for 20 mins instead of the 25 so it was a little melted inside. Remember to cut small slices because it is very rich. My daughter doesn't even eat peanut butter and she loved it!!

This torte is high on flavor. The combination of chocolate and peanut butter is a taste sensation. That being said, the recipe is flawed. First the cook time is too long. My first batch came out like hocky pucks. Reduce baking time from 30 minutes, to 25.

The second error has to do with the glaze. The recipe calls for 1/2 cup water. Please add water by the teaspoon to achieve the consistency of a ture glaze. I think it worked out to be 6 to 7 teaspoons.

Otherwise this is a rich, chocolate company style dessert.

This dessert is very rich...but very good easy to put together and cook if you need a last min, dessert to make and want to wow your guest. I used white chocolate on top to give it a different look and also a little different flavor I would suggest not to cook it as long as they say i would under cook it a little to make it soft and gooey.Other than that Sit down with with a piece and a big glass of milk and enjoy.
