I took me several hours to complete the recipe, between the cooling off and the actual time it took for the dulce the leche, 1hour and 15 minutes and then let it cool again and the suggestion of adding the frosting after cooling overnight, total process was 8 hours, which was to much.
I enjoy the cupcakes but I will not be baking them again.

This recipe was extremely time consuming but worth it. Absolutely delicious!!! For Angela from Fountain Valley, CA, I would use a 13 X 9 pan and bake as directed for the cupcakes.

I tried this out on my family and fiance. None of them said it was a favorite, and they all said it probably wasn't worth making again. They said it was ok and the coconut flavor was good, but it wasn't worth the time.
I spent all afternoon making this and used a tons of dishes.

These were so good! Next time I think I will double the recipe for the cupcake and soaking liquid because there was plenty of extra frosting and there was extra milks as well. I know I will have no problem sharing them as they were very popular!

This recipe was very difficult, which I don't mind, if it's a really good recipe. My neice commented that it was "doughy". I told her it was a "wet" cake. And who wants WET cake? There was no one distinct flavor. What was the reason for the 1/2 cup of coconut milk? You could not taste the coconut flavor. The frosting was laborious to make and was way too sweet and there was a lot left over. In fact, there were several ingredients left over. You had one ounce of leftever condensed milk, and 1/2 of a can of sweetened condensed milk. I will not make this again. I find it hard to believe this was chosen the best cupcake that night. I served this recipe to eight people, and not one of them liked them. I followed the recipe exactly.

I'm dying to make this cake, but it seems like such a hassle to make cupcakes from this cake, so if you were to bake it in an 8 inch round cake pan, how long would you have to bake it? How bout a 9 inch round cake pan?
Thanks in advance. :
