Cheesy Sausage Snacks

Ingredients

  • Oil, for greasing the baking sheets
  • 3 cups biscuit mix, such as Bisquick 
  • 1 pound spicy sausage (uncooked)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary 
  • 8 ounces aged white Cheddar, grated 
  • 8 ounces sharp yellow Cheddar, grated 
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce, such as Tabasco (or to taste) 

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Grease 2 baking or cookie sheets and set aside.

  • Combine the biscuit mix, sausage and rosemary in a large bowl. Mix with your hands, then work in the white and yellow Cheddars and hot sauce. Form into balls the size of walnuts and place on the prepared baking sheets. Bake until cooked through, about 20 minutes. Serve warm.

I had the same awful results: Dry, hard to form into balls. I didn't remember seeing Valerie have these problems on her show so I looked for her recipe on another site and found that there are TWO missing ingredients plus some other discrepancies. Shame on you Food Network! Here is the correct recipe! You'll have to search for the step by step directions. Maybe worth another try.
