I agree with applesy3. Mine came out dry on the outside and undercook on the inside, but mine did not stick to the bundt pan. The flavor was good. I don't know what I did wrong. Next time I am going to make sure it is a Paula Deen cake

I started making this cake when I was around 14, and I still love it to this day. I make it for Christmas every yr and it has always been a hit. It is one of the best cakes you will ever eat. and so easy to make. Give it a try!!!.

This was delicious!!! I'm not a big fan of coconut so I used white chocolate chips instead and added walnuts instead of pecans it taste great!!! I also used 1cup white and 1 cup dark brown sugar. Everyone loved it and asked for more (making my second cake right now lol!!!! Thank you to the reviews before me I took your advice and heavily buttered and floured my pan cake came out very smoothly!! I also did try it warmed up in the pan for breakfast and OMG it taste sooooo good nice and warm and comforting or you can put in the microwave for 30 sec. Definetly a keeper!!!

Excellent, easy to make and everyone loved it as soon as it was cool enough to remove from the pan. Didn't have a chance to grill it and use the whipped cream and caramel topping.

This is an awesome recipe!! I left out the coconut and divided the batter into 24 cupcakes I used the cupcake baking cups since I made multiple batches and baked for 20 minutes for Thanksgiving. They were gone in a flash. They are great plain, spread with pudding yes I tried banana first, just plain butter, or cream cheese. I can see adapting this recipe into a banana pudding trifle, strawberry shortcake, and many other interesting cakes or cupcakes. This is a simple recipe that would be great for baking with kids.

This cake is so good! The only change I made was 1 cup of white sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar. I used a bundt pan, the secret of not sticking is buying Baker's Joy, no stick baking spray with flour. I used regular Pam on my first one and it stuck. My husband loved it so much, I made it twice in a week!

I used a bundt pan and it came out very dry on the outside and under-cooked on the inside. Not sure what I did wrong but the result was not good. It also stuck to the pan. As for the flavor, it was good. Not as sweet as I thought it would be.

What a great cake and so easy to make! It is very dense and moist. The coconut adds great texture. I did not find the cake overly sweet at all. It's definitely a keeper!! I agree with the previous review...make sure to overly grease your pan or it will stick. I used a 10 Cup Bundt pan.

My husband loved it. In fact, he thinks it is a good base for our fruitcake this year!
