    The general idea of this recipe is good, I tried to scale down the number of steps and improvised ingredients based on what I had on hand. Used round cutters to cut out the puff pastry circles, then used smaller cutters to score 1/4 inch inside the border. Made a great broccoli pesto (courtesy of Giada and spread it on as a base, then layered basil, heirloom tomatoes, garlic, and sprinkled some parmesan, salt and pepper. Baked until brown. Wonderful vegetarian dinner!!
