I think that the chili sauce in this recipe is NOT siracha sauce, but the chili sauce that is mild and sweet. perhaps this is why everyone has had a very hot experience!

Made this last night and it rocked! Other people seem to be pretty hard on Giada for taking a traditional concept and making it her own. I thought that's what cooking was all about - taking a recipe or concept and putting your own spin on it.

Yummy and easy. PLEASE NOTE: I saw this episode and Giada uses 1/4 c of the chili sauce in the mayo, NOT 1/2!

I only partially used this recipe. First off, I'm vegan, so obviously the fish sauce and mayonnaise needed to be substituted out. Second, I couldn't find rice paper wraps in my local grocery, so I just converted this recipe into REAL sushi. It was so good though! here is a link to my blog for the revised recipe:

ok this isnt even sushi.this is more vietnamese what she use is called rice paper theres two different kind. the one you deep fry which is eggroll or spring roll wrap and the other clear which is rice paper.and the red sauce sirachi is very spicy so use according to how spicy you like it. and the noodle that goes in it you can find it at any local asian market. this whole episode trips me out.

I went to 4 stores including an Asian market. They didn't even know what I was talkin about. Rice papers? Do you mean the see-thru spring roll wrappers? The eggroll/spring roll wrappers are made for frying not rinsing and eating. OMG! Help me out here. I ended up making the recipe in eggroll wrappers and frying. It was great! I still want to know what the h--- is rice paper?!

I agree with most of the reviews about the ratio of hot sauce to mayonaise as being off. I used about 1 tbsp. of Sriracha and it tastes perfect. Other than that I have made this recipe as is and it is great! Very tasty, I think the sauce is addictive. Sometimes I have included thinly sliced cucumber for extra crunch. Have also tried these with two medium sized cooked shrimp per roll. Very good.

I am a big fan of Giada's recipe and followed this recipe exactly the way she mentioned (i generally add my touch to the recipes depending on my taste. I am an Asian and love spicy food. But I must say that the chili mayonnaise is way too spicy. I would recommend anyone trying this recipe to use little less Asian chili sauce. Great idea though!!!!

I made these Fresh Spring Rolls for my Labor Day Party and they turned out really great. Easy to make and very tasty.

I did cut back on the Chili sauce to one Tablespoon and made extra for dipping sauce. The party goers ate them up.
