I love this recipe! And my non-veg boyfriend loves it as well. It's a little time consuming, but so worth it!

I've tried many recipes for Shepherd's Pie, with varying results for flavor and mouth feel. This is the best! First try was a bit time consuming as most first time trials are for me. I loved the addition of celeriac, which I had never had before but was a great addition to this recipe. Great depth of flavor. Anyone would love this dish but, as a vegetarian I wish I had lots more recipes that taste this good. I'm counting on Aida for that.

This was a great recipe. I work for an animal protection agency and most of my co-workers are vegetarian or vegan. Brought this dish for our Xmas potluck. It was gone in less than 10 min and I made a double batch! Luckily I kept a little aside for myself - I accidentally reconstituted the porcini mushrooms in the slurry but it still turned out great, in fact I think the porcinis (and the slurry had more flavor because of my blunder! I'll definitely be making this again, great tastes and I really didn't miss the meat at all.

OMG this was delicious. My husband kept asking if I wasn't sure there was no meat in the dish; the mushrooms are chunky and makes you think you are eating something of substance. I didn't have the parsnips or celery root but it still turned out incredible. Thanks!

My vegetarian said this is one his favorite dishes I have ever made, after three years of perfecting vegetarian cooking. He went back for thirds. I modified the recipe for two people, leaving enough for my husband to go back for thirds! I am going to try adding corn next time. We served it with a dollop of sour cream! Delish!

I made this to sample as a possibility for a Christmas entree for my vegetarian guests. This is very tasty... didn't miss the meat at all. This goes on my holiday menu for sure!

We prepared this as a vegetarian thanksgiving entree and everyone really liked it, even the meat eaters. You do need to allow enough time for chopping the veggies and soaking the mushrooms, but it was well worth it. It really was fantastic!
