Excellent!! It was such a hit I had to make 6 copies of the reciepe and hand them out. Making again tomorrow, but going to make it in personal sizes, the small soufle dishes to hand out easier then in tupperware.

Excellent apple cobbler. Not elaborate, but time consuming to make. I followed the recipe exactly, and didn't think the cobbler part was too sweet. I guess it depends on the apples you use. Excellent with the nuts and cranberries.

Brilliant dessert! We loved it. I did not have almonds or cranberries so I omitted them. Nonetheless, this cobbler was super. Outstanding served warm with vanilla ice cream.

My daughter and I made this for Thanksgiving and it is the best whever had. Very easy to make even though it looks much harder. We made 1/2 without the cranberries (she's not found of them. The topping came out just right for a cobbler. The hardest part was chopping all the apples. My daughter wasn't sure about the almonds on top but we tried it and was a great addition. Have extra syrup left over to make some more almonds to just much on.

I hate to throw out food. So I fed the overly sweet top crust to the hens to make into eggs. I used the apple mixture which was still very sweet, as an addition to my morning protein shake. Now, THAT was fantastic.

Only thing that takes time is chopping the apples. Take the time to add the roasted almonds on top at end. Really adds a nice touch / flavor. I also used a mix of apples. Granny Smith and MacIntosh. Also can serve with whipped cream or pur some heavy cream over it while hot right before serving in dish.

I made this for Thanksgiving and it went over well! It was a nice alternative to the traditional Apple Pie. The topping was sooo tasty, I had to go back for 2nd, 3rds, and 4ths!

Fantastic recipe. The highlights are the cranberries and the roasted almonds. Don't skip either of them for they are what sets this cobbler apart from the rest.

This recipe was great, but I substituted 1/2 cup of white sugar for brown sugar and left out the nuts and cranberries.
