You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 ounces semisweet chocolate

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In bowl, mix together coconut, egg whites and extract. With mixer on low, feed in confectioners' sugar. Form into balls and line up on nonstick or parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes and browned on the outside. Let cool. Melt chocolate in double boiler. Drizzle over macaroons with slotted spoon.

    It was so easy, and delicious....I just melted the chocolate semi sweet chocolate in the microwave for a mininute and 30 seconds...stirred it half way thought..let cool then drizzle on them let them cool again, then place them in a container...enjoy so easy...maybe could put an almond on top too..before the cocolate, and have the best candy.....with just egg whites, and only a cup of confectionary sugar not too fattening...

    These were so good, they tasted like an almond joy without the almonds. I'm going to make them again except adding almonds. I also put more chocolate on them than the recipe called for. Chocoholic :
