This came out very nicely. The end result is quite beautiful. The cake was just a little too dry for me, but the flavor was nice, and the composition was gorgeous. Easy to make, as well.

I made this cake for my mom's birthday, so instead of 2 layers, I did 4. The cake was delicious and very pretty, but it did start to list to one side after a while. Definitely keep chilled until ready to serve.

Beautiful, simple, fresh and delicious. Definite repeat. The cake is quick and easy to make. I added real vanilla bean specks to the whipped cream along with the extract. Next time I will macerate the middle berries in some kind of liquer (maybe Gran Marnier or Cointreau? before putting in between the layers. Must stay refrigerated or it begins to droop!
