I have been making this recipe now for years..
So many people have the usual sweet kugel, which of course is great, but for a more savory dish..you cant beat it..that is why I gave it 5 stars in my cookbook..

I made this for Chanukah and everyone loved it. I ended up omitting the raisins though since I'm not a big fan... It tasted like mac n' cheese with onions which is fine with me!

This was my first attempt at making Kugel and I was very pleased with this recipe. It was not only easy but it came out perfect. I brought it to a Hanukkah party and it got rave reviews.

I used lower fat cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese, and it was still incredibly rich. I think next time I might even get rid of one of the bricks of cream cheese. I also didn't use raisins, so I might increase the onion.
