I started out making this recipe exactly as it was written. The flavor was good, but it was way too dry, as other cooks have noted. I made a second batch of dressing and added it to the salad, which made it moist, but not oily. I also sprinkled extra feta on top just because I really like it! This salad is delicious!

I like this recipe a lot... A LOT..... I will just leave the onions out next time... everybody thought they were too strong... But beside that it's perfect.

The basic recipe is very good. However, it needs a little more fat, salt and tart for my taste. I made a few changes to make this a delicious dish I will make again. I like crunch so I added a few more walnuts. A little more feta lends additional salty taste. I basically doubled the dressing. It was not moist enough. I added two hard-boiled eggs because pasta salad, to me, has eggs in it. I increased the fresh garlic and added a little garlic powder because whole wheat pasta tends to be bland. Be sure to salt the boiling water. I was generous with the salt and pepper. Next time I think I will add cranberries and black olives. And I might try it with goat cheese as the salad can stand to be a little creamier. I can do a lot with this basic recipe. THANK YOU!!!!!

I made this for my block party the night before. I could barely keep my fork out of the container in the fridge the dish was so good! The flavors were fresh and distinct. The walnut 'theme' added a nice twist to the already nutty flavor of the whole wheat pasta. My 2 recommendations...serve the pasta salad the same day you make it...it loses something when stored overnight...and make some extra 'dressing' in case the dish dries up a bit. Otherwise, it's a great dish and a very enjoyable side

This pasta salad was great! My husband and daughter say they don't like whole wheat pasta, but I used half regular and half whole wheat and they gobbled it up! My husband is a very picky eater, and even he liked it. Second time I made it I added added mushrooms and black olives to it, and used 4 tablespoons of store bought fat-free zesty italian, and it was even better than the first time. This will definately be a regular dish in our household!

Very refreshing for a summer cookout. I wasn't sure about the dressing and saw some cranberry walnut vinegarette in the store and tried both. I ended up liking them mixed together best. A little sweet with a little sour/bitter. I also added a handful of dried cranberries as I think they go well with feta and walnuts.

I made this tonight for a side dish and enjoyed a lot - didn't even have to go to the grocery store because most of the ingridients are things you'd have laying around (except walnut oil which I substituted for EVOO. I really like the clean taste of the simple vinegarette - it's not to heavy or oily on the pasta. The spinach and onion are a great add in to bulk up the dish so there is a healthy balance and you don't feel like you're just eating a huge bowl of pasta. The walnuts complimented the creamy texture of the feta - but I can definately see the dish without them or with another type of nut if I didn't have these on hand at the moment.

Overall I think this dish is simple, clean, light, and healthy - and I will be making it again for myself or to bring to a summer picnic!

This salad is wonderful. I let it chill overnight for the best flavor once the red wine vinegar has soaked into the pasta. It works wonderfully as a bagged lunch, but watch out for the onion breath!

I made this recipe for lunch after seeing the video on foodnetwork.com. I thought the recipe was had a wonderful flavor and it was very easy to make for lunch or a great side dish with a piece of chicken or fish. I will definitely make this recipe again.

This recipe is SO delicious and dangerously addicting. Its healthy, but only if you don't eat it all yourself! Unfortunately, only one other person in the house really likes onions so I'm writing this with a very full stomach. Will definitely make this again and add some chicken/tomatoes for a well rounded dinner.
