So yummy! Also tossed fresh baby spinach and kale w/the romaine for a little variety the second time I made this and both times were big hits!

This is amazing, my great grandmother, from Austria... made at huge family gatherings using both romaine and red leaf lettuce often would toss in green onions ... this dressing is closest to hers I have found & simply amazing. Her story was of making in containers the size of a wash tub for family gatherings in Austria growing up. fantastic find, thanks!!

The only bad thing about this recipe is that I was hard pressed to share with the rest of the family. I would have been happy to eat it all by myself! Absolutely delicious! I used balsamic vinegar and it was simply marvelous!

I used only two hearts of romaine and this did not make near enough vinaigrette. Will use a little less sugar in the future. Overall a very good salad. This recipe serves way more than 4.

So good. Tangy, restaurant quality. I would be proud to serve this at a dinner party. Looks so simple but has a huge bang of flavor. My husband was ready to grab a dressing but tasted it. Lets jut say he cleaned his plate. So easy to make too. I used a heart of roamaine and apple cider vinegar... It took me 10 minutes at most to make it and serve it. A+

My husband and I LOVE this salad. It is so easy. We usually have all of the ingredients on hand and it's a great and easy salad to serve guests. Who doesn't love bacon?

My husband and I ageed we didn't particularly want to have this again. It was not bad, just not much flavor.

So simple and so delicious. My husband went nuts over this. My stepson was a litle pickier but ate most of it. I used a head of romaine lettuce -- I wasn't trying to buy 4 hearts of romaine -- and it was plenty for the 3 of us (hubby and I had seconds. I will be making this regularly from now on! I used apple cider vinegar and it turned out really nice.
