This recipe is easy to make, and the sauce can be made ahead of time. I substituted Italian sausage (removed from casing for chicken and also used 3 cups of tomato sauce instead of 2 and didn't add tomato juice at all. My husband said it was restaurant quality. My mother-in-law, who was born in Italy, loved it. This is definitely a company meal that will get raves.

Very delicious. All the cooks in my group wanted a copy of the recipe. A keeper and obvious crowd pleaser. Yummy and light "southern" style Italian pasta!

This was really delicious. As other reviewers suggested, I substituted some spicy turkey sausage for 1/2 the ground chicken (and actually had to substitute ground turkey for the ground chicken as well as there was no ground chicken at the supermarket.

Other than that I made it as written and it was super delicious. My husband kept marveling about it most of the evening in fact. It was even better as left overs for lunch the next day!

We also enjoyed polishing off the rest of the bottle of wine I opened for the 1/2 cup in the recipe.

I will definitely make this one again.

I have an extremely picky family and this recipe wowed everyone. Very easy to make with wonderful flavor. I took the suggestion to add sweet italian sausage with the chicken and if you don't have red onion you could easily substitute another onion. A real winning recipe.

Followed the recipe to the T and it turned out absolutely great. It does take a little bit longer than listed, but well worth it.
