This is a wonderful, wonderful recipe.....totally impressive and I love you can make it ahead of time.

I use the puff pastry scraps to make an "initial" and put it on each persons dish....everyone loves that.

Love it, love it, love it. This recipe is wonderful. I have made it many times and it always comes out beautifully. It is so easy to make and taste great to boot. You can't get much better than that. The only changes I've made are to purchase the puff pastry, use the food processor to do the mushroom/shallot chopping, just throw them in together, and cremini/baby bella mushrooms. Yummy!!!

ALTHOUGH THIS IS A FABULOUS RECEIPE, IT SHOULD NOT BE UNDER HANUKKAH RECIPES. MEAT AND BUTTER AND CREAM ARE NOT KOSHER. PLEASE TAKE OUT OF HANUKKAH RECEIPES. THANK YOU

This is a very impressive dish that is SO easy to make. I would sugguest adding parsley to the mushroom mixture.

The first time, it was as difficult as the review suggest. However, the second time, after kciking up the spices a little, it was perfect.

I'm a new cook and I made this easily. I didn't have the medeira, so I used sherry and it was still soooo good. It's an easy way to do beef, especially for those of us who are scared of cooking red meat!

This dish was both delicious and beautiful. Not only that, it was easier than you would think to make.
