These muffins are very moist and satisfying when you crave something sweet. I made a full batch and froze them. They taste just as good when thawed. A nice alternative to high fat high calorie sweets.

These are not worth the time. They have little to no flavor. I would rather have one decadent bite of real chocolate than a whole flavorless "brownie", which they do NOT deserve to be called.

I made these today and after reading through all the reviews, I took the liberty to make a few changes. I added 1 tsp vanilla, 1 heaping tablespoon cocoa powder, 1 TBSP instant coffee powder (to bring out the chocolate falvor, and 2 TBSP Slenda for baking. Many reviews stated that you could not taste the chocolate, or that it wasn't sweet enough. With the changes I made it is fairly chocolatey, and not still not a overly sweet dessert, but definently worth the calories for a sweet treat.

I was hoping that I would be happy with these, but I would rather taste one small bite of a delicious "real" brownie than spend the time and effort to make a batch of low calorie substitutes that don't have flavor.

Quick and easy to make. Cannot taste the pumpkin! VERY moist; however, does lack flavor, but not as chocolatey as myself and family were hoping, is nice to see that at only 8.5 cal per mini muffin, which I made, sure is a nice little bite!!!!

I was able to taste the pumpkin but after making the muffins I noticed the mix I used was only 16.5 oz instead of 18.25 like the recipe calls for. They were OK and I'm interested in trying the spice cake mix idea.

I was excited to try this recipe but it turned out moist and flavorless, this recipe needs a flavor boost.

The other reviewers were right- no, you can't taste the pumpkin. The problem is you can barely taste anything else! The pumpkin and the cocoa in the cake mix almost neutralize each other and your left with a lump of flavorless cake. There are light hints of chocolate, but nothing substantial. Eh, at least it's healthy.

You can't even taste the pumpkin. Today I'm making with spice cake mix. We'll see how it works out. The texture of these is a little chewy, but that is what makes them muffins, not cupcakes I guess. I made a double batch and my husband and 2 young boys devoured them in 2-1/2 days. I even had to thaw the ones I froze. The frozen/thawed ones were just as good as the ones I never froze, by the way.
