The tilapia was very bland and had no taste. I couldn't taste the orange or ginger at all. It tasted just like a plain piece of tilapia.

family didn't like this. I thought it was ok but it could use a stronger flavor.

i absolutely loved this rice dish. the coconut gave it a really silky texture and just enough coconut flavor to make it sweet but not too sweet. the fish was a little bland for me. it needed some more bite.

It was very tasty, but it didn't make me or my family jump in our seats. It's a good recipe to make if you like a light dinner. I didn't make the coconut rice, but I did make it with brown jasmine rice. It was a perfect companion to the fish.

YUMMY! This will absolutely be one of our favorite meals. I cannot tell you just how good it is, and easy too. I did not get to make the rice found out I was out. OH well I just pulled out some whole wheat pasta, made up a garlic and basil infused olive oil to pour over it and that was great too.
You will be happy you did when you try it.

What a hit this fish was at our house. My neice made it after watching it on the show and she really doesn't care for fish much but had to try it anyway. She loved it. We all loved it even the people who really are not fish lovers. The marinade gave the fish a light and delicate flavor that was just delicious. We all agreed to keep the recipe to have again and again. The rice had more mixed reviews, but basically good. It needed a little more salt and I might cook it longer and add some almonds next time. I loved the texture that that coconut milk gave it.

I tried this recipe on an evening dinner for my husband and the taste on the tilapia was a soft orange taste, the the white rice with mango was great.
I saw the other reviews on the rice, what I did was not lower the heat, and cooked it for about 10 more min., until there was no more liquid showing in the sauce pan. I used Jasmin rice and added about 1 teaspoon sugar and unsweetened coconut flakes to it. It does not come out mushy if you let the liquid dry out before turning it off to rest. Fantastic recipe "Ya All".

It was okay, but I found myself wishing that more of the flavor had soaked into the fish. Maybe it needs to marinate a little longer??

This is the best fish I have ever had. I saw this recipe on Paula Dean in the afternoon and immediately went to the grocery store picked up Tilapia and a few items. Followed the simple directions and WOW! I cooked it on my indoor grill. What fantastic flavor and not an overly fishy taste. My 15 yr old will not eat fish-one bite of this and she is sold! Would make it again and again. Gotta try it-you'll love it!

By far, this is the best fish recipe I have ever tried. I have had trouble in the past cooking fish but this turned out perfect. The orange and ginger marinade was wonderful, and the rice was beyond excellent and paired with the fish beautifully. This is a keeper!
