Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian loves the California-Italian inspired dishes at Spartina, “think Italian food getting a spa treatment,” he says. His favorites are the grilled avocado, which is topped with tomatillo sauce, Moroccan chiles and ricotta salata, and the crispy polenta squares that get done up with grapes and creamy gorgonzola dolce sauce. “This is modern Italian at its best,” gushes Chef Zakaraian.
