Named for famous Kentuckian Danien Boone, this historic tavern serves regional favorites, including soufflé-like spoon bread. Though home cooks tend to use white cornmeal, legendary mid-20th-century Boone Tavern manager and cookbook author Richard T. Hougen required white cornmeal for the tavern’s signature dish.
