Park your car and take a seat on the picnic bench outside La Patrona, an excellent food truck parked 20 minutes down National Park Highway from Carlsbad’s visitor center. Everything on the menu is good, but the barbacoa tacos and the chile relleno burrito are as memorable as a visit to the park.
