Hoppers opened in 2015, backed by Karam Sethi, the spice maestro behind London’s Michelin-starred duo, Trishna and Gymkhana. The menu is as compact as its pretty turmeric-yellow dining room: Try the eponymous hoppers — savory Sri Lankan pancakes — served with fried egg, sweet and spicy sambals and coriander chutney. Progress to punchy karis (including a black pork number) and mop up your saucy bits with dosas made from fermented batter.
