A flood of Vietnamese immigrants landed in Houston after the Vietnam War, and although the population has ebbed and flowed since then, it still remains one of the largest Vietnamese communities in the country. The hole-in-the-wall shop offers a full menu of pho and buns, but, most importantly, a selection of banh mi sandwiches that might just be the best lunch $3 can buy.
