Jeffrey's Birthday Meatballs

For Jeffrey's birthday, Ina's throwing him an Italian-themed dinner party. She's making classics like bruschetta and her Roasted Italian Meatballs

Cheers to the Birthday Boy

What's a good dinner party without good drinks? Jeffrey heads over to Domaine Franey Wines & Spirits in East Hampton to pick up the ingredients for Ina's Aperol Spritzer

International Paella Salad

Ina puts an international spin on this Spanish rice dish by adding Kalamata olives and slices of kielbasa sausage, and then to make it a salad she tosses it with freshly cut vegetables and serves it at room temperature.

East Hampton House Tour

Jeffrey and Ina's friend Deborah Berke was recently named the dean of Yale's School of Architecture. While Ina's preparing dinner, Deborah takes Jeffrey on a tour of some of the homes she's designed around East Hampton as well as some historic buildings she admires.

Jeffrey the Pizzaiolo

Matt Michel is the owner of the Rolling in Dough pizza truck in Greenport, N.Y. He drives over to East Hampton and teaches Jeffrey how to make white pizza with roasted garlic ricotta, topped with zucchini and charred red onions.

Perfect Salad for Pizza

Ina's leaving the pizza making to Jeffrey and making a side salad of arugula, prosciutto and Burrata. She tosses the arugula in a Dijon mustard vinaigrette and finishes it off with a drizzle of olive oil.

Friday Flowers

It's Friday at the Gartens' house, which means Ina's making chicken for dinner! On his way home, Jeffrey stops by The Bridgehampton Florist to get a surprise bouquet for Ina.

Greek by Garten

The start to any good dinner is a good appetizer. For her alfresco feast, Ina starts the meal off with a Greek Mezze Platter with Marinated Herbed Feta, pita chips and a few store-bought treats.

Grilling Chops

Nothing says outdoor eating like food fresh off the grill. Ina's Moroccan Grilled Lamb Chops are the perfect centerpiece for her alfresco dinner, which also features Roasted Vine Tomatoes and Couscous with Pine Nuts and Mint.

Dinner Party for Debra

A good friend of Ina's, actress Debra Monk, is getting a lesson in Dinner Party 101. Ina's foolproof menu includes Roast Chicken with Bread and Arugula Salad and Tri-Berry Crumbles

Big Breakfast Buffet

When Ina's friends (and serious foodies) Eli Zabar and Devon Fredericks stop by for breakfast, she makes a little bit of everything, including Potato Pancetta Frittata, Overnight Belgian Waffles and a Breakfast Smoked Salmon Platter with Scallion and Dill Cream Cheese

Saturday Snapshots

Ina's old friend and photographer, Miguel, is visiting East Hampton for the weekend. After settling in Friday night with Ina's Hermit Bar recipe, he and Jeffrey spend Saturday taking test pictures for a new Barefoot style book.

Picture-Perfect Lunch

While Miguel and Jeffrey are snapping away, Ina's in the kitchen preparing a Zucchini and Goat Cheese Tart and Tomato Carpaccio for lunch.
