Christine Campbell
Christine Campbell
Age - 28
Private Chef and Hospitality Consultant/Butcher
I'm Christine Campbell, I'm 28 years old, and I am private chef. I got into cooking when my father brought a French cookbook home when I was 15 thinking it would be his new hobby. Now he buys the wine and I cook. Even though my baby is too young to chew, I give him food to smell all the time. I think I'll win this competition because it's set up the way I entertain people. On weekends my friends just bring over whatever they have lying in their fridge and I'll make something for dinner. So I'm used to improvising.
WINNER!: Marc Spooner
Marc Spooner
Age: 34
Production Chef, Great Performances
Location: NYC
I'm Marc Spooner, I'm 34 years old, and I'm the production chef at Great Performances catering company. Something that's really important to me is respecting the products that I use by knowing where they come from. I am competitive but am very quiet about it so the other contestants think they have the upper hand. I think I can win because I see so many different combinations of foods and am prepared for anything that will show up in the mystery basket.
Massimo Felici
Massimo Felici
Age: 41
Executive Chef, DeGrezia Ristorante
Location: NYC
I'm Massimo Felici, and I'm the Executive Chef at DeGrezia Ristorante. I was born in Italy and love to cook Italian food. I love women, I love food, and I love good wine. When I was young, I didn't have the wallet to pay for all of that, so I decided that the next best thing was to work in a restaurant and learn how to cook. I dropped out of high school to work in the restaurants. I grew up in the streets and kitchen and have a strong personality. I have a short temper for stupidity and no patience if I show someone how to make a dish and then they screw it up. My friends call me The Angry Chef or Pitbull, but deep inside I'm just a fuzzy bear. I will have an edge in the competition because I don't get nervous.
Julio Lazzarini
Chef Name: Julio Lazzarini
Age: 34
Owner/Executive Chef of Orillas Tapas Bar and Restaurant
I cook Nuevo-Latino cuisine, which is a fusion of South American cuisine with European and Caribean influence. I'm originally from Puerto Rico. When I was 14, my parents got divorced and I moved to the U.S. with my mom. We moved around a lot, but I always found sanctuary in food and cooking. So I studied at the Culinary Institute of American and eventually I opened my own restaurant, called Orillas, in Delaware. I'm going to win because I have a rainbow of experiences from working in hotels, privately owned restaurants, as a private chef and in country clubs. I 'm gonna go to the competition, show my skills, and put Delaware on the map as a culinary destination.
