Kim is a self-taught baker with an intense passion for food, especially sweets. You wouldn't think this Chicago native, raised on steak and pork chops, would be a candidate for the vegan lifestyle, but here she is to show us that vegan desserts can be every bit as good as their non-vegan counterparts. After working for three years in a Los Angeles bakery, Kim opted to launch her own online vegan bakeshop, and C'est La Vegan Bakeshop was born in 2009. Kim claims that most people "fall off their chairs when they find out they're vegan." Judges, consider yourselves warned!

Doron was in the midst of attaining her degree in dietetics when she decided she wanted to open a vegan bakery. Fascinated by the science behind the flavors, Doron prides herself on her vegan creativity in her array of goodies. She and her assistant, Jenny, are ready to go toe to toe with the competition to prove they have the best cupcakes in D.C., but they'll have to claim victory on Cupcake Wars first.
