Mom, wife and business owner sum up the busy life of this Florida baker. Shayrin Badillo, co-owner of Cupcakes Nouveau is proof that it's possible to have it all. She started baking cupcakes out of her home with partner Cristina Valdes in 2007. Just two years later they opened their storefront, bringing chic gourmet cupcakes to the Miami area. With an admiration for French culinary excellence and a love of haute couture fashion, Shayrin and Cristina pride themselves on the design of their cupcakes. They use flavors in their specialty cupcakes that pay tribute to their Cuban heritage and their hometown, Miami. The Guava cupcake and the Dulce de Leche cupcake are the most popular local sellers. For Shayrin, the love for baking began as a little girl with her Easy-Bake Oven. As her success continues to grow, both bakers hope to see their business expand.

Cups is an all-organic cupcakery, cupcake lounge and full-scale teaching kitchen. First and foremost, they're all about making incredibly creative cupcakes. They even cater to most dietary needs, including gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free. Cups also is about local suppliers, securing all of their ingredients from producers throughout California. Lead pastry chef Jeff Bonilla is French trained and spent many years as a corporate pastry chef, bringing true pastry expertise to this unique cupcakery in La Jolla, Calif.

Chef Chloe Coscarelli's passion is making people happy, one vegan cupcake at a time. While in school at UC Berkeley, Chloe delivered fresh-baked cupcakes to her roommates in the library. She was anything but the average college girl, which is why directly after graduation she ventured to culinary school in the Big Apple. She graduated top of her culinary class and worked in the finest vegan restaurants in New York and San Francisco before starting her own business. Chloe's signature cupcake is her "Cholstess Cupcake," which is her version of the "Hostess" cream-filled cupcake — but vegan. All of her delicious vegan cupcakes can only be ordered online, for now. She's smart, beautiful and extremely talented. This young baker is destined for big vegan success.

Shannon Noormand
Shannon Noormand is the owner, operator and creator of Crushcakes Cupcakery. She was raised in the restaurant business with the kitchen doubling as her playground. She learned how to cut a whole chicken before she was 10, and she perfected her homemade chocolate-chip cookies by the age of 12. Crushcakes is Shannon's own stage for sharing her passion for homemade, made-from-scratch foods. She believes cupcakes are the world's most perfect dessert, and uses only premium ingredients when baking her scratch-made gourmet cupcakes.
