Look Who's Back

After a victorious journey to redemption on Star Salvation, Dom proved he was worthy of the opportunity to rejoin the Food Network Star competition, and today he made his grand entrance. "The new Dom is here, and you know what? I'm not afraid of presentations anymore," he said, thrilled to have another shot at Stardom.

Watch: Star Salvation

Familiar Faces

The contest is back to the final four, but only three of the guys will go on to make pilots. They have one final chance to impress the Selection Committee with what Bobby calls "the dish of your lives" and "the video of your lives" if they want to make it to the final three. But they won't have to cook alone. Previously eliminated finalists are back to help as the guys' sous chefs.

Easy Heat

Eddie chooses Alex as his sous chef and explains that Alex was also his Week 5 partner at Patina Restaurant. "Me and Alex have a history together," Eddie says. "He knows exactly how I like to cook." Eddie's set on bringing his signature Caribbean flavor in the form of meatballs with a habanero sauce.

Italian Hashtags

It's no secret that Matthew was resistant to feedback, but Dom, who selected Matthew as his sous chef, is confident Matthew will be there for him. "As long as he listens to me, I'm not worried," Dom explains. While Dom works on homemade pasta, Matthew tackles the Bolognese — and a hashtag, of course. "#YoloBolo," he says, pleased with his finished sauce.

Presentation First

"I'm known for plating things beautifully, so all I want to do is make a beautiful, beautiful dish," Arnold explains of his approach to his dish, Mediterranean-style meatballs with couscous, which he's asked Rue to help him prepare.

Continued Strength

"I thought that was pretty flawless," Bob tells Jay after watching the hopeful's pitch video. Together with Emilia, Jay had prepared a crawfish etouffee atop a fried catfish fillet, which Bobby deems "very good." After reveling in the acclaim, Jay says proudly: "I'm a hundred percent certain that I will be one of the people making a pilot. I'm on top of the world."

Redemption, Achieved

While Dom's agnolotti with Bolognese is indeed a success — with Giada calling the pasta "light as air" — perhaps the bigger achievement is his presentation. Bob deems him simply, "the most-improved person," and after taking in the judge's good words, Dom's beaming with pride. "To get that much positive feedback about a presentation, I got all the redemption," he tells his fellow finalists.

Mixed Results

"Not a well-organized minute," Susie says of Eddie's video, though the Committee applauds the way he ended his presentation: with a hands-on bite that showed his ability to think quickly in the moment. But Bobby wishes Eddie's dish offered "more heat."

Meaningful Reflections

After a careful decision "to kind of scale it back and just present in a more calm way," heeding the judges' advice, Arnold delivers a lackluster performance on camera. "I missed that joy," Bob says after watching Arnold's video, noting the change in the hopeful. While Arnold's food is, in true Arnold fashion, "gorgeous," according to Susie, in the end, it's not enough to save him. Arnold's sent home just one week ahead of the finale. "I had a bad day at the office," Arnold admits.

The Making of a Pilot

Dom, Eddie and Jay have earned the right to make pilots for their would-be shows on Food Network, and who better to guide them through the process than food television legend Rachael Ray? She meets the guys in New York City, where they'll tape their pilots at hot-spot restaurants in the city.

Jay's Fried Favorites

"You are really good at this," Rachael commends Jay after he delivers a solid set of lines at Sweet Chick, a Big Apple restaurant famous for its fried chicken and waffles, which is in keeping with Jay's deep-fried concept. Although he gets tripped up a bit after tasting the chicken, he recovers to end on a high note. "Nicely done," Rachael tells him.

Barbecue with Eddie

After a few stumbles in his opening segment at Mighty Quinn's Barbeque, a BBQ joint in Manhattan's East Village, Eddie calms down a bit, explaining: "Once I get in my groove, I feel at home being a host. I think one of my strengths is being able to just have natural conversations with people." Rachael's pleased with his work, telling him, "Beautiful. Perfection."

Italian According to Dom

Dom heads to John's of 12th Street for old-school Italian cooking, and not long after arriving, he's once again faced with familiar nerves. Once he gets used to the process, though, he settles into a rhythm. "I feel the juices flowing," Dom says after the intro. "Bravo!" Rachael says, clapping for Dom after he describes the sauce at John's.
