Unique Combinations — Jet Tila

"My most-recent haul included pork chops, cherries, Pinot, wild rice and kale. I love the combination of pork and Pinot with cherry sauce."

Shopping for Satisfaction — Elizabeth Falkner

I was craving a BLT recently, so I got some whole-wheat sourdough bread, mayonnaise, bacon, tomatoes and basil. I grilled the bread slices on the BBQ, spread a little mayo on the grilled bread, rendered the bacon crispy, seasoned my tomato slices with smoked salt and made a garlic-basil oil to drizzle on top. Delish!

As the Mood Strikes — Penny Davidi

"I'm all about a great Med platter; it's how I feed my family most of the time. It's fresh, healthy and easily prepared. Anyone at home can pull of their version of what I call a 'Mood Board.' What are you in the mood to eat?"

One-Stop Shopping (But Not in a Supermarket) — Anne Burrell

"New York City doesn't have giant mega stores ... so I have to go to several stores to get all my grocery needs covered. Usually I can do a lot of shopping at Chelsea Market in New York. ... I bounce between ... Buon Italia, where I get all my cheeses, pastas and salumi, and Manhattan Fruit Exchange. For meat and fish I go to The Lobster Place and Dickson's Farmstand Meats. ... I also shop heavily at a farmers market."

When Kids See Food, They'll Eat It — Brian Malarkey

"I love to shop with my three little kids, Miles, Sailor and Hunter. If they see the vegetable or fruit in the store it makes them excited to eat it. We love to go to Point Loma Seafood near our house also to check out the crabs, scallops, clams, fish — we all love seafood."

Ingredients for the Dish (and for You) — Beau MacMillan

"Two essential ingredients whenever you are cooking. Onions were for the beautiful Petaluma chicken dish I was making, and the beer was for me while I was cooking it — perfect combination."

Must-Have Snacks — Justin Warner

"My wife and I load up on snacks. ... Last round was plenty of Persian cucumbers and stuff to make hummus. Lately I've been making a lot of chilaquiles, so we loaded up on tortillas and eggs. I'm a salt-and-vinegar-chip addict, so we had a few of those."

Pizza Party Ingredients and the Clearance Rack — Melissa d'Arabian

"My latest trip to the grocery store was for a group sleepover for my daughters. I made homemade pizza crust and let the girls each shape her own dough and top her pizza. ... And, since I find it absolutely impossible not to stop by the clearance rack, you'll see I picked up a big bottle of hair conditioner for 50 percent off!"

Going for the Unusual — Marc Murphy

"Smoked oysters. I make a delicious fennel salad with a smoked oyster vinaigrette."
