Fill two piping bags, one fitted with a 1/2-inch tip and the other fitted with a small round, with your favorite cream puff dough. We like this one.

Use the larger tip to pipe a series of teardrop shapes onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Use the smaller tip to pipe a series of candy canes, ideally slightly bigger at the top than the bottom.

Bake according to recipe instructions till golden brown. Let cool.

Use a serrated knife to carefully slice the tops off the teardrops.

Cut the tops in half to make wings.

Fill the teardrops with your favorite filling: ice cream, pastry cream, whipped cream or mousse.

Arrange the wings in the filling.

And then add the necks.

Swim your swans all over the kitchen, because, look: You made swans.
